A review of Bourjois' Little Round Pot Blushes was one of my earliest posts on the blog, and I thought it was time to update the swatches since I added two more colours to the collection a while back. I have had the majority of these for over two years now, and, with the exception of 85 Sienne, I haven't had too many problems with these baked domes oxidizing or hardening over the time. The blushes still smell very strongly of roses though.
Bourjois' Little Round Pot Blushes now costs £7.49 and are available online and in stores at Boots and Superdrug.
Ahhhh, what a great image, the first one!!!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing make-up all open and displayed as well!
DeleteRose D'Or is in my wishlist, but I just can't use up all the blushers I have to buy this one :D
ReplyDeleteI totally understand. I feel guilty not using these blushes as often as they deserve because I have so many... blush overload O_O
DeleteI adore bourjois blushers! my favorite is #34 rose d`or. I have also some limited edition packagings :) Unfortunately it is very limited shade selection in Latvia :( may be just 4 or 5 shades
ReplyDeleteYeah their availability is really limited, there are some listed on the Bourjois website that I have never seen in stores? The LE packaging are so cute, I'm jealous :P
DeleteAMAZING POST! Thank you! Love love love your blog xx
ReplyDeleteThank you Katie x
DeleteSo many blushes! :'D
ReplyDeleteJust a quick question, what do you do once they've hardened? My Rose D'or has hardened and I'm barely getting anything from it! x
Take something stiff/scratchy and take off the top layer. I think that should solve the problem.
DeleteWow you've got an amazing collection. Very impressive that Bourjois managed to make so many blushes that look natural and wearable
ReplyDeleteThank you Vida :)
DeleteOooh! I don't have any of these but would like to start collecting. What shades would you recommend for an NC20 complexion?
ReplyDeleteYou're only a little bit lighter than me so I would say that most of these colours, if not all of them, should be wearable for you. For specific recs, I really like 16 Rose Coupe de Foundre, 34 Lilas D'Or and 54 Rose Frisson for a peachy pink blush with various levels of shimmer. 35 Rose D'Or is a pretty cool pink. 48 Cendre de Rose Brune is a great pink if you're weary of shimmer.
Delete... not the most helpful recommendations I'm sorry! The pinks do look similar to one another on the skin so you can't go wrong with any of them.
Thank you! I'll write up my shopping list now :)
DeleteHi there
DeleteThanks for the review i love them too.
But just curious:
In France Rose d'or is no 34 and Lune d'or is no 35..
Now i'm confused
omg, too many beautiful colours to pick from! Good to hear they don't seem to have any issues over time. I only have one of these but it's one of my most used blushes.
ReplyDeleteOh which colour do you have? I need to use mine more often - I need to start implementing a more efficient blush rotation system actually :/
DeleteNot a particularly useful/constructive comment but I love the first photo :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Sylvie :D
DeleteLove them so much! After seeing your posts before on these Ive collect 3 shades so far, lilas d'or, rose ambre and rose de jaspe, I love how the different finishes all give such a lovely even glow...I can't wait to pick up a bronzey colored one! Thanks for the amazing photos and swatches! :)
ReplyDeleteYou have an awesome collection, I adore all the shades you have & I totally agree. Some of these have scary amounts of shimmer and some have none at all but they all have such a nice finish on the skin!
DeleteThey have such a nice colour range! If you do find they oxidize on you, I've seen a few people to scrap the top layer off and it's as good as new!

Thank you Kat, that's exactly what I recommended to the Anonymous commenter above :)
DeleteOh wow! I fell in love with these in a second, just from the swatches. Then I was sad because I knew I probably couldn't get ahold of them here...and then I found a store that sells them. Hurr. But it's a co.uk site and I don't know if it's reliable. D: Have you ever bought from echemist? I love Brun Cuivre, Rose....nevermind you know what? I love them ALL.
ReplyDeleteNo I haven't... wouldn't risk it if I were you. These blushes are nice but they're not worth the hassle of dealing with dodgy e-retail sites tbh. If you ever want a CP, let me know ;)
DeleteOh goodness, that first picture is so mesmerizing! But of course the swatches make me want each and every colour which is totally unnecessary.
ReplyDeleteLMAO I'm sorry Ashley! (I'm not really :P *awful enabler*)
DeleteWow the photograph looks amazing! I'm looking for a color that's good for everyday use but i'm not too into too much shimmer. I know you mentioned that the shimmer on the blushes vary so i was wondering if you could recommend several good colors which have little shimmer. My skin tone is NC15-20
ReplyDeleteThe 'satin' shades (no shimmer but not completely matte) are 48 Cendre De Rose Brune, 54 Rose Frisson, 74 Rose Ambré, and 85 Sienne. 15 Rose Eclat is a super pretty dusty pink with low shimmer. I think all of these would be good for your colouring!
DeleteThis is the most helpful blog post I have ever come across! I have been trying to decide for ages on which of these shades I should get and being able to see them all like this with the names is just whst I needed:) Thank you!
ReplyDeleteGreat post! I got Rose Frisson and CendreDe Rose Bune based on your picture. Got to have more of these blushes. ASOS doesn't have all of these :( Anybody know where I can get Bourjois in the US beside ASOS? xoxo
ReplyDeleteSo helpful thanks! And blimey you have a lot :P
ReplyDeleteHi, could you list what kind of finishes these have respectively. I don't trust myself to tell. They look great btw.
ReplyDeleteThanks
